To the Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

Michael my heart breaks but it is a blessing to know that you are at peace and with Dad. You were the perfect older brother. You were so protective, loving, and fun. You loved people and life. I have so many fond memories of you. Do you remember the days you spent trying to teach me to tie my shoes and tell time when I was in kindergarten or teaching me to skip stones at Grandpa's. How about the time when you missed your curfew and Dad locked the doors & windows and in the wee hours of the morning you were throwing stones at my window so I could unlock the window and sneak you into the house. We had many a laughs over that. When you enlisted into the Marine Corp I was devastated when you left, but you told me we can write to each other and we did and we never skipped a beat. When we visited you in CA, you were there with open arms. Wally & I stayed with you and you introduced us to all your friends we had so much fun. As we had children we had lots of fun in Maine and on the weekends. Our trip to England and Bermuda are memories I'll never forget. Although your illness may have taken you from us, it will never rob us of the memories. I love you and will miss you. Your youngest sister, Alyson
