Ella Welch Obituary
Ella Ree Welch 'Penny', 86, passed away on January 13, 2020 in Lake City, FL. Penny was born November 28, 1933 in Plant City, Florida, to Eford Kirkland and Emma Lou Martin Kirkland.
Penny was of the Baptist faith and was a member of First Baptist of Clewiston. She worked as a Teller with both Florida National Bank and Citizen's Bank of Perry. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Penny was preceded in death by her parents, Eford Kirkland and Emma Lou Martin Kirkland, an infant daughter, Nancy Jo, and son, Ben Dozier. Two brothers, Milford and Woodrow Kirkland and two sisters, Joann Bunn and Thelma Truex.
Penny is survived by one son, Michael and his wife Patricia Dozier. Three daughters, Lena Carol Tedder and her husband A.W., Cheryl Addison, and Tilena Gutshall and her husband Don. One brother, Roy Kirkland, and one sister Loyce Rowland, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Rev. Gary Bunn officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterwards in Pineview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday,January 17, 2020 at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
