Scott St. Pierre Obituary

Scott T. of Rockland, formerly of HIngham, passed away suddenly March 5, 2011. Scott was born on Feb. 29, 1972. Loving son of Elly St. Pierre of Hingham and James and his wife Beverly of Weymouth, he was the loving brother of Amy Avallon of California, Laura McLaughlin and her husband Lee of Hingham and James St. Pierre Jr. and his wife Indra McHugh of Hanover; devoted grandson of Grace Doucette of Albuquerque, N.M., and Frances St. Pierre of Englewood, Fla., and the late Louis Joseph St. Pierre; loving uncle of Sean and Brooke McLaughlin, James and Thomas Avallon, Sarah Anne McHugh, and his newborn great-niece, Riley; stepbrother of Jennifer Cullen of California and Joanna Cullen and her husband Brian Saklad of Weymouth. Scott was also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Scott's dog Justice was his constant and faithful companion. This man's "best friend" is a lovable boxer with diabetes whose owner faithfully checked his glucose level twice daily, injecting insulin as needed keeping Justice healthy and fit. Scott grew up in Hingham and graduated from Hingham High School in 1991. For the past five years, Scott was the successful owner and operator of St. Pierre Landscaping on the South Shore. A conscientious worker, and passionate about running his own business, his dad remarked, "When Scott completed a lawn it looked like it had been vacuumed." During time off, he and best bud Justice would frequent Stoddard's Neck and other local dog parks enjoying the mix of pooches and people. An avid and longtime motorcyclist, Scott enjoyed the freedom of the open road riding his motorcycles, and took part in numerous charity rides, enjoying the company of friends, old and new. His mom fondly recalls, and will always remember, his "heart of gold," citing among numerous altruistic acts, the countless times he would donate his rare O negative blood type for others in need. His distinctive laugh brought a smile to many, and clearly was a testimony to how much he enjoyed people from every walk of life. Always first in line to lend a hand, he cultivated and nurtured many a circle of friends. With a massive void now in our hearts, his family and friends will always celebrate his benevolent virtues, and special heart of gold. A celebration of life service was held March 12, in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., Hingham, prior to the funeral Mass in St. Pauls Church, Hingham. A private interment ceremony will be held at a later date. Donations in Scott's memory may be made to Boxer Buddies Rescue, P.O. Box 120, Bellingham, MA 02019. As Scotts uncle, words are not enough to express the feeling of loss and devastation his passing has had on all of us that knew him well. Scott was more than a nephew to me but rather a brother I never had. Although I live in New Mexico, Scott and I managed to communicate often and beyond my parents was my closest relative along with his brother Jimmy. Although Scott is gone he will always hold a great place in both myself and my wife Phyllis's heart. His spirit of laughter consideration, intelligence and kindheartedness will never be forgotten by those he touched in New Mexico and beyond. I hope Scott has found the peace he so rightly deserves and to him I say this is not good bye but rather we will meet on another day. Love from uncle Peter and Auntie Phyllis

Scott was our dearly beloved nephew. It is hard to believe he is no longer with us. His love for Justice, family and friends was immense. . Though he lived in Mass and we live in New Mexico we didn't see him as much as we hoped. But, we were fortunate to visit with him and Justice last October. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him so much.

Scottie the first time I meet you in 98' we became so close, shortly after you were family. We partied together we worked together and we lived together twice. You and I were both to stubborn to argue, but you were right more than I wanted to admit. You were the toughest yet nicest man I've ever known , (still are). I would give anything to hear you yell at me or smile at me again, but I have to wait to see you again someday, not to long but not too soon. I'm' in tremendous pain, and I miss you tons.I I love you with all my heart and I know you to succeed in life and celebrate your life, so I am going to do that right now! I know you are watching me from above. I know you want me to celebrate your life, so I am going to do that, starting right now! So long my brother, see you when my time is lived here.

To Scott's family,
You are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Scott was one of the nicest people that I knew. He was always willing to lend a helping hand or give his advice that would always turn a negative outlook into a positive. He is going to be missed terribly.

My Wife and I did not know Scott well. We met Scott 1 time last fall at the Tedeschi's in Hanover. We noticed the beautiful Boxer that he had with him and we patted the dog and Scott proudly told us his name was "Justice" and he went on to tell us about the diabetes "Justice" had and we sympathized with Scott as we have a cat with diabetes. My Wife and I remarked on what a nice guy he was and went on our way. When we saw the obituary my Wife recognized Scott immediately upon reading it and we were just saddened by the news of his passing. As I said we only met Scott one time for a few minutes but he left quite an impression on us both as a genuinely nice guy that loved his dog very much. Our deepest condolences to all of Scotts friends and especially to his family.

Warm Summer Sun

Warm summer sun,
Shine kindly here,
Warm southern wind,
Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
Good night, good night.

To Scott's loved ones ,
We are so very sad to hear of your great loss. He had a very sweet side to him; I recall him taking a "work" ( gorgeous day for landscaping)
day off to celebrate one of his employess 21 st birthdays at Canobie Lake Park to make sure that an important day was celebrated in a fun, safe way! Scott would include everyone which is why I thought he showed a kind heart to everyone. He, so loved his puppy! He was a hard working man who seemed to be generous and polite. Each week he'd park in front of my home to work in both of my neighbors yards across the street. He would stop for a cold water or gaterade or a popsicle with the employee which I knew, not for long, always running to his next job! He loved my neighbors and they he. The neighborhood will miss him. I wish you God's blessings and strength.
