Thomas E. Lizotte

1926 - 2018

Thomas E. Lizotte, 91 of Westport, formerly of Fall River and Marlboro, MA, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband to his wife the late Barbara Ann (Wilson) Lizotte. Prior to that he was the husband of the late Eleanor (Barrett) Lizotte. Prior to his death he enjoyed spending time with his love interest Marianne Murphy of Plympton, Ma. He was a graduate of Marlboro High School. He graduated from Marietta College with a bachelor degree in chemistry. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He worked for Baystate Abrasives before starting True Grit Abrasives with his wife Barbara in 1978. He was a Councilor At Large Ward 5, Marlboro, Mass. He enjoyed camping with the Algonquin Camping Group, was a member of the Kiwanis Club and enjoyed spending time in his social singles group. He enjoyed the warm weather in Florida and loved to take trips with his brother-in- law, Gary T. Wilson. He enjoyed theater shows, opera and fishing. He cherished time with his family and grandchildren. He leaves 5 children, Patti Haggerty (partner Lee Socorro) of Onset, MA, William Peters of Littleton, MA (former wife Carolyn Peters of Westford, MA), Marjorie Ann Lombardi (former husband late Richard) of Somerset, Barbara M. Souza (husband Glenn) of Westport, and Elizabeth L. Hoenshell (husband late Frank) of Littleton; grandchildren, Kristen Glazier, Matthew, Michael, and Bryan Haggerty, Rachel Smith, Ali and Will Peters, Ian and Jacob McGlaughlin, Ariana, Ricky and Kayla Lombardi, Megan, Glenn and Sophea Souza, and Cathryn, Hannah, Kristen and Thomas Hoenshell; great-grandchildren, Lily and Blake Glazier Euna, Hana, Pella and Miles Haggerty; many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late George Lizotte, Robert Lizotte and Gloria Roberts and was a beloved brother-in- law to the Wilson family. His funeral was held January 22, 2018 at 9:00 A.M. in St. Anne Church, Littleton. Burial was in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Marlboro. Please omit flowers.
