Joseph A. Robak Jr., known to his family and friends as Joey or Joe, passed away on June 5, 2021, at the age of 88. Joe was born July 28, 1932, to the late Joseph A. Robak Sr. and Flora E. (Luther) Robak. Joe attended East Bridgewater schools. Joe was an altar boy at the Catholic church in town. As a young boy, Joe worked alongside his many uncles at the brickyard on Spring Street, where he became a machine operator. Joe joined the United States Air Force in 1951 and served four years active duty and then four years active reserve duty. Joe worked for Fernandes and Superplace for 26 years, before working at Trucchi's in West Bridgewater for 24 years as a meat wrapper. Joe spent many years with his friends at the Chatham's Boy's Club. Joe was a lifetime member of the East Bridgewater Commercial Club. Joe and Shelia spent many years travelling to New Hampshire, Maine, and their favorite place, Walt Disney World in Florida. Joe is survived by the love of his life, his wife Shelia A. (Walker), who he married on June 21, 2003, nineteen years after their first date. He is also survived by Shelia's son, Jason Reams and wife Kelly of San Antonio, Texas, and his beloved grandson Maddox, who called him Grump. Joe loved all of them like his own children. Joe is survived by six brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom loved him dearly. Joe was preceded in death by his beloved pets, Sam, Chloe, Annie, Ellie, Marvin, Buddy, Sugar, and Spice, and is survived by his dog Abby and cat Olivia. Visiting hours will begin in the Prophett Chapel of Chapman Funerals and Cremations, 98 Bedford Street, Bridgewater, Saturday, June 12, at 1 pm and conclude with a funeral home service at 4 pm.
