Suzanne Louis-Reddick Obituary

Suzanne Yvonne Louis-Reddick died on November 3, 2011 from a sudden heart attack experienced several weeks earlier. She went into a coma and never recovered. She was born September 7, 1961 in Cleveland, Ohio, married September 7, 1986 to Lance Reddick in Rockport, Ma. They had two children: Yvonne Nicole Reddick, and Christopher Alexander Reddick. She later had a child after Lance and she were divorced whom is named Kaiya Dane Meier. His father is Karl Meier. Her parents are Sally Harrison-Louis of Manchester, MA. and John Louis of Northwood, NH. Her siblings are Robin Connolly of Arlington, MA. Becky Shelton of Newton, MA., and Eric Louis of North Chelmsford, MA .Her nieces and nephews are Sara and Ava Connolly, Noah and Francisco Shelton, and Michael, Katie, and Emily Louis. She graduated from Lexington High School in Lexington, MA and Parsons School of Design in New York City. She later became a Certified Midwife when she graduated from State University of New York College of Medicine. Her activities and interests were "Hangin with her kids"," Catching babies", and Running. She has run a number of marathons and was scheduled to run The New York Marathon on November 6, 2011. She was employed by Avon Products for a number of years as a jewelry designer. As time marched on she felt she desperately needed to become more involved with people in such a way to make a significance improvement in their lives. She investigated the field of midwifery and for a year and a half she worked with a midwife to see if it provided her with the people interaction she was looking for while still working full time at Avon. She made the decision to become a midwife and left her job at Avon to work at Brookdale Hospital. Her change in happiness was apparent to everyone who knew her, relatives and friends alike. She will be greatly missed by all. A Celebration of Her Life was held in Brooklyn on Saturday November 19, 2011. We love you, Suzy. Your kindness will live on in our hearts. Suzanne and I worked together at Avon from 1993 through 1997. I am shocked to learn of her passing. Suzanne was a loving colleague. I had the privilege of meeting her children Yvonne and Christopher when they visited her at work. I send my love to all her family, and a huge hug to each one of her three children. Suzanne, rest in peace. You made our earthly world a better place.

I am so sorry to hear of her passing at such a young age. I did not know her, but knew Karl. It seems a though she led a very caring life and I hope she is cared for in the afterlife and is resting in peace. Condolences sincerely offered to her parents and all who knew her.
