What a wonderful Man. It seemed impossible to hear of his sudden passing away. He dedicated his life to helping others and their wellness. He loved his daughter. He was so dedicated to health and wellness. He is truly a loss for all of us. A wonderful guy with values and a hopeful America …that saw dramatic changes in our America … that were so hard to see.
I related, being an American all my life. He was a blessing to
all of us who went to him for health. I can'[t believe he is gone. Yet, he is in heavenly spirit. He was truly a benefit to mankind. Linda Nikonchuk "REST in Heavenly Peace my Friend". You're a treasure not to be forgotten,

I came to know Brian about a week before he opened his own shop in Swampscott, and had been his client since. Professionally, he was at the top of the game. He brought a special combination of knowledge: nutrition, physical training and human physiology; far beyond other folks. If not stubborn, he was determined. It took him years to get me (a skeptical, beat-up, old athlete) to comprehend that there was something beyond just lifting weights. I'm not sure if it was his professional side, or a degree of comradery, that kept me coming back. I cannot deny that our similar backgrounds and viewpoints created conversations that made the visits meaningful to me. Where else in my daily life could I discuss Linus Pauling, the Krebs Cycle or the history of King James VI and I. He knew where and when every summer Olympics Games were held. His patron saint was Sir Winston, to whom I took a much better liking, but probably because of the Scotch and cigars. When it came to Scotland, my adolescent hero was Sir Jackie Stewart, which helped a lot; and, a stem of my family hails from Ayrshire, which stimulated fond memories in Brian and discussions of Robbie Burns. He almost demanded that I attend the Royal Tattoo the next time I travel to Edinburgh.

His loss is keenly felt. He is missed; but, the things he was eventually able to teach me will carry on and improve my life. I thank him for that.

I will greatly miss my regular twice a week meeting with Dr. Brian Don. Brian was very knowledgeable and intuitive. He was always able to design a workout with the minor ailments in mind. He kept the workout time enjoyable because of his genuine interest in my life and we shared many conversations over the exercise machines and after the sessions. I doubt I will ever find another person capable of helping me with my health as much as he helped me. My sympathy goes to his family and to all of his clients who have experienced his friendship. I am also especially thankful to Ann for her help to me as Brian's assistant, and to him as his caretaker in and after life.

My husband, Mike Gery, worked with Brian twice a week for several years. Brian provided Mike not only with excellent health and fitness advice, but he was also a trusted, admired and beloved friend. Their mutual passion for history, culture and sports often became fodder for thought-provoking discussions, trivia challenges, and the swapping of jokes. His passing was a shock and the loss of his mentoring and companionship will never be equaled. Our hearts go out to his family and loved ones.
