William D. Hahn

William D. Hahn, 76, of Marshfield Hills, died at his home on Monday, October 22, 2018, after a lengthy and hard-fought battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his immediate and extended family. Bill was born and raised in North Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, by Herman and Jean Hahn. He attended the University of Wisconsin (Milwaukee), after contemplating joining the seminary, but chose a career in the insurance industry. He married his high school sweetheart Mary R. Fink in 1964. The couple made their way to Marshfield in the early 1970s, where they built a lifetime of friendships. Bill's career culminated with the opening of the Boston office of Palmer & Cay Insurance. His love of family, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating, and dedication to Trinity Episcopal Church were only the beginning of his many interests. He was sadly predeceased by his wife Mary in 2009. Bill was the loving father of Jill Mandile and husband Brian of Marshfield, Jonathan Hahn and wife Susan (Kelley) of Norwell. He adored his five granddaughters, Alexandra Mandile, Margaret Mandile, Katherine Mandile, Gillian Hahn and Mallory Hahn, who will greatly miss his sense of humor. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at 2 p.m. in the Trinity Episcopal Church, 229 Highland Street, Marshfield.
