Donald Kankanpa

Donald B. Kankanpa, 67, of Chandler St., Maynard, died Saturday, September 4, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Concord, son of the late Bruno and Josephine (Savosh) Kankanpa. Mr. Kankanpa served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Forestall. He was a heating technician for many years and retired from Baker and Whitney Oil Co. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and was past president of the Mass Bass Association. He was also a member of the Knights of Kaleva. He leaves two nieces: JoAnn Campbell and Karen Bingaman both of Maynard and a grand nephew Mark Campbell Bingaman. He was predeceased by a sister Joan Campbell late of Maynard. Funeral services were held Thursday, September 9 in the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord St. Maynard.
