Eileen Simons Obituary

Eileen Marie Reid Simons passed away February 22nd just shy of her 101st birthday at Care One in Concord. She was born to William Reid and Elizabeth Crotty Reid on February 26, 1916, the youngest of nine children. Eileen and her siblings grew up in Maynard and were parishioners of the nearby St. Bridgets Church. In 1942 she married Eric Simons. After her husband passed away Eileen and her special friend John Arnold enjoyed their golden years traveling within the states and Europe. Later, she moved to Concord Park Assisted Living. Eileen will be remembered by many for her kind and friendly nature, always ready to help others. Eileen was preceded in death by her siblings and other family members. She is survived by her two daughters, Kathleen Woehrling and her husband Francis of Wayland and Ann Simons and her husband David of Salem, Oregon, grandchildren Eric, Eleonore, Ethan and Madeleine, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are encouraged to attend a graveside service on July 20 at 11:00 AM at the Glenwood cemetery on route 117 in Maynard. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Fowler-Kennedy, Maynard. Online condolences at www.never-gone.com

To the Simons Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
