Robert L. Mauro

Robert L. "Bob" Mauro, 89, of Maynard and an Acton, MA native, died peacefully Friday April 27, 2018 at the Rivercrest at Newbury Court in Concord. He was the beloved hus- band of Ann P. (McLaughlin) Mauro; father of Robert Mauro, Jr., the late Wayne Mauro, Susan LaBossiere and David Mauro; and step-father of Michael Ahern and Mary Ann Chiasson. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws and their families. Mr. Mauro was predeceased by his parents Frank and Angelina Maria (Palma) Mauro, and his siblings Libirato, Alfonso, Mary, Carmen, Dominick, Adelina (Lil), Ralph and Dora. Born and raised in Acton, he attended the Acton schools and served honor- ably in the US Army. He was the owner of Bob's Servi- center in Maynard for 25 years before retiring. He loved time spent with his wife Ann. They both loved to travel, including trips to Bermuda, Alaska, Florida, Cape Cod, and cross county through the US. He loved to be anywhere near the water and especially enjoyed Aruba. The family would like to thank Dr. Hanjura, the nurses and staff at Rivercrest at Newbury Court in Concord for their wonderful care. Visiting hours are Thursday May 3rd from 9-10am at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton, followed by a funeral service at 10:00am at the funeral home.
