Irma Cacicio Obituary

Irma M. (Mirabello) Cacicio, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 27, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was 87. Born and raised in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Rose (Reni) Mirabello. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Irma will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Irma graduated from Medford High School and earned an Associate Degree at Boston University. A life-long Medford resident she worked for the city in her earlier years. She served as secretary to the Mayor in the 1950s and also worked in the Office of the Board of Health. As her daughters came along, she devoted herself to the care of her growing family. Irma and Rocky enjoyed family trips together, whether spending time on the beaches of Cape Cod or taking trips to the White Mountains. Throughout her life she was a trusted poll worker during the Citys elections. She also looked forward to occasional trips south to the casino. The beloved wife of the late Rocco L. "Rocky" Cacicio who passed away in 2011. Irma was the devoted mother of Christine Adelizzi and her husband Robert of Bradford, Nanci Moon and her husband Mark of Methuen, Lisa Cacicio of Medford and the late Traci who passed away in 2016. Irma leaves her loving grandchildren: Matthew, Kristen, Ashley, Jenna and Jaimie and was proud to be a great-nana to Julianna, Ryder and Lincoln. Irma was predeceased by her brother Joseph "Sonny" Mirabella and Marguerite "Margie" Zucco. Services were held on Friday, April 1, 2021. In lieu of flowers, please consider honoring Irmas memory by making a contribution to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
