Paul E. Sawyer, 86, of Bellingham, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Milford Regional Medical Center. He is the beloved husband of the late Evelyn Marie (Moore) Sawyer. Born in Millis, on August 7, 1934, he is the son of the late Forest and Thelma (Miller) Sawyer. He is the loving father of Michael Sawyer of Washington, DC, Jeffrey Sawyer and his wife, Michelle of Houston, TX and Jerry Sawyer and his wife, Lori Beth Towne of Bellingham. He leaves his cherished grandchildren, Victoria, Alexander and Allison Sawyer, and David Towne. He is the brother of Palmer Sawyer of North Attleboro, Allan Sawyer of Franklin, Joyce Woodworth of Norfolk, Linda Groth of Florida, Gail Ouellette of North Attleboro, and the late George Sawyer and Jean Sawyer. He was a United States Air Force Retired Veteran having served over 20 years in the Korean and Vietnam Wars attaining the rank of TSGT. He was a member of the VFW Post 7272 of Bellingham. Paul was a resident of Bellingham since 1974. He worked as an auto body technician at RH Long until retiring in 1988. Together with his wife Evelyn, they enjoyed vacationing at Cape Cod in Brewster, MA and traveling with their motor home to their son in Texas and to her sister in Florida. Paul enjoyed a morning breakfast or an afternoon beer with family and friends in town. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Arrangements are private under the direction of Cartier's Funeral Home, 151 S. Main St. Bellingham. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Paul E.
