Chase Rideout Hyde (Mr. Soup) of Dover, Massachusetts, born on August 26, 1995 in Dover, Massachusetts to Kip and Warren Hyde, passed away at age 23 on November 12th, 2018. Chase attended Trinity College. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Oggie Hyde and Pop-Up Hollister. Chase is beloved and celebrated by his sisters, Phoebe, Torri, and Sadie, his grandmothers, Jean Hyde and Joan Hollister, his 11 Aunts and Uncles, 16 cousins, and countless amazing friends. He also leaves behind his greatly loved dogs, Tonka and Kijay, and joins his childhood dogs O.B. and Tucket. Chase enjoyed friends, family, Spikeball, music, lacrosse, football, and basketball, and was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. There is no shortage of happy memories with Chase. In fact, those are the only memories - all full of belly - hurting laughter. We could always count on his big, chin-up smile to light up our lives. Chase was our absolute, all-time, "no bout-adoubt-it" person to be with in the entire world. Chase was about living in the moment, and may we all live his legacy. With his unconditional love and non-judgmental attitude, may he help to heal us and this world from the other side. He can never be replaced. He is our Boy. Dear Hyde Family,

Sending my deepest sympathy to you all. I will always remember Chase for all the good memories we shared together.

I remember sitting alongside your pool, me, Chase and Abby Shannon after one holiday party. Despite it being freezing cold that winter, Chase knew how to make Abby and I laugh and feel special. We had more fun sitting in the cold just enjoying each other's company than we had earlier in the night at the the actual holiday party inside the house. We laughed, we bonded and more importantly had so much fun just being with one another. It's true that Chase enjoyed the simple things. He was beyond a genuine man and I will never forget the positive and loving impact he had on me. I will continue to smile and laugh in his memory.
Chase you taught me a lot and will continue to do so. Thank you for all the good times and for being the incredible person you are.

Chase will forever be missed, but he will always be with us. Love you all so much and will always be here for you.
