CHARLES "CHUCK" J.
Of Oakland, formerly of Beaver Falls, died December 23, 2014. He was a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, where he had also worked as an instructor for many years. He had also been employed at the Joseph Horne Company as an interior designer, and had freelanced as a store window designer. Most recently, Chuck was a hair coloring specialist at "The Salon" in Pittsburgh. Chuck enjoyed travelling, especially to New York City where he enjoyed the Broadway shows and going to art museums and art galleries. Chuck had a great talent to create art and was a collector of art and antiques. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond S. and Dorothy J. Marburger Tabay. He is survived by three brothers and a sister-in-law, Dennis S. and Cynthia S. Tabay, Chippewa Township, John F. Tabay and Thomas G. Tabay, both of Beaver Falls; a nephew, Raymond T. Tabay and his wife, Krystal, Monaca; his stepmother, Leona Tabay; stepsister, Keo Mercolini and her husband, John, all of Leland, North Carolina; a stepbrother, Dr. Andrian Van Strien and his wife, Phyllis, Washington, PA. Chuck will be greatly missed by his family, friends, business associates, and hundreds of his clients. Friends will be received on Sunday, January 4, 2015, from 1 until the time of the memorial service at 3 p.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com., 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls.
