Evelyn P. Palma

Evelyn P. Palma, 86, of Rockland, formerly of Holbrook, passed away Friday, April 3, 2015. She fought heart disease, dimentia, and stubborness until her final days. She was the oldest of 11 children of Nettie and Raleigh Harrell of Ahoskie, N.C. She was known as Sister, and Aunt Sister to many. She was a strong determined woman who struggled through many tragedies with dignity. She was predeceased by her husband, John F. Palma, as well as five of her siblings. She is survived by her daughters, Marylou P. Boyle of Rockland, Catherine King and her husband Ronald of Maine, Barbara Pachucki and her husband John of Fla., and Carol Higgins and her husband Jack of Pembroke. She was a loving grandmother and shared her life for the past ten years with her grandchildren, James A. Boyle IV and Caitlin E. Boyle of Rockland; she was also a grandmother and great-grandmother to more than thirty. As per her wishes all services will be private. Arrangements by Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home of Rockland.
