Matthew McKeon Obituary

Matthew "Ben" McKeon, age 29, passed away suddenly on July 30, 2016, after several years of struggling with addiction. He was a resident of Myrtle Beach, and had been employed in the electrical field. Previously, Ben had resided in Rockland, Mass. He attended Rockland Public Schools and attended Plymouth State University in NH. Ben enjoyed hockey, golf, fishing, music and spending time with his family and friends. He was a quiet, loving and kind young man who had a quirky little smile for all he met. He will be sadly missed by all. Ben leaves behind his loving father and mother, Matthew and Bonnie of Sedona, Ariz.; his sister, Kacey McKeon of Halifax, Mass.; his grandmother, Christina McKeon of Quincy, Mass.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Services will be held at the United Church of Christ, at 460 Main Street, Norwell, Mass., August 9, 2016, at 2:30 p.m. All family and friends are welcome to celebrate his life. A memorial service will be held in Myrtle Beach, August 4, 2016, prior to the service in Norwell. Donations may be made in memory of Ben to EB Hope, Inc., P.O. Box 401, East Bridgewater, MA 02333, www.ebhopes.net.
