John Pecararo Obituary

John Francis. (Papa) Pecararo of Falmouth MA., formerly of Westwood, MA. August 10th, 2016. Beloved loving husband of the late Sabina C. (Duggan) Pecararo. Devoted father of David Pecararo (wife Kelli), Allen Pecararo (wife Karen), Susan Miskovsky, Mark Pecararo, Mary Ann Latter, and J. Stephen Pecararo (husband John Grail). Loving grandfather of Gregory, Mark (wife Claire), and Caitlin Latter; Liam, Seamus and Brennan Pecararo; Nicholas and Maximus Pecararo; and Zarek Miskovsky. Great grandfather of Bennett and Harrison Latter. Also survived by many other family members, cousins, nieces and nephews in the US and in Ireland and Italy. John was preceded in death by his brother James and his beloved mother Stella. John was an Electrical Design Engineer- Project Manager. A graduate of Wentworth Institute and Northeastern University, (BS Electrical Engineering). He was always involved in fascinating projects which often involved long term travel. He would be in Brazil working on a satellite project for a few months, or somewhere overseas. He was often designing at some site in the New England area or up in Lake Placid where he worked on the new Olympic Stadium and Arena being built for the Olympics in the eighties. His former career included working for Honeywell Inc., Gilbane Construction Co., Inc., Massachusetts Electric Co. Inc., and as a consultant for RELCO, Inc. He was also the past owner of Wye-Delta Electric Co., Inc., Westwood, MA. He loved to travel with his family. They made several trips to Ireland, Europe, Florida, California, and areas all over New England. He loved spending his vacation time with family members in California, New York, and Falmouth, Cape Cod, where he and his late wife Sabina (Chris) happily retired to. He was a Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and Boston Bruins fan. He loved hockey, built the family rink in the back yard! He spent much time in Hockey Rinks all over the New England supporting his family athletes at their events. He was either on the ice or at the rinks, the fields or swimming pools during his children and grandchildrens grammar, high school, and college years. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the kind and professional nurses and doctors who cared for John, especially those at Falmouth Hospital, to his devoted caretaker son Mark, and to the staff at the McCarthy House in Sandwich, MA. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to The McCarthy Care Center, 73 Service Road, East Sandwich, MA 02537. Services were previously held in Falmouth on August 13. Burial was at the Highland Cemetery in Norwood, MA. Funeral arrangements by Chapman, Cole & Gleason, 475 Main St., Falmouth, MA.
