John Paul Lawrence, of Weymouth, passed away suddenly on December 19, 2017. He was a longtime member of the South Weymouth Knights of Columbus where he served for many years as their treasurer and always helping out with Bingo. He was a 3rd Degree Knight as well as Knight of the Year in December of 1979. Paul was employed years ago as a Draftman for American Electric Furnace Company in Dorchester and then was a salesman for Fuller- Brush Company. He retired as a General Manager for Hub Pen Company in Braintree. He was an avid Bruins fan and took great pride decorating both the inside and outside of his home at Christmas time. Paul will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved him. Beloved husband of the late Dolores M. Dolly (Dube) Lawrence. Father of Gayle S. Trulson and her husband, Rick, of Brockton. Brother of the late Wiilard Lawrence, Francis Lawrence, Marie Dapsis, Edward Lawrence and Robert Lawrence. Grandfather of April, Carlene, and Jenna. Great-grandfather of Brennen. Visiting hours on Wednesday, Dec. 27, from 4 - 8 p.m. in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, East Weymouth, at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles and Middle Street). Relatives and friends gathered in the funeral home at 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28, prior to the funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
