Cheryl Sackett Obituary

Cheryl Ann Sackett passed on to rest in peace on October 29, 2025 after fighting health issues.
Cheryl was born on December 20, 1952. She was a lifetime West Michigan resident, raised in Saugatuck, graduated from Saugatuck High School, and later resided in Fennville and Glenn.
Strong work ethic was Cheryl's trademark. She worked as a bank teller, a bartender, a store clerk, and a bookkeeper among her many jobs. She spent many years working for the company, Acro, and more recently, for the store, Wagoner's.
Cheryl was the mother of two sons, Richie and Brian. She can be remembered for supporting her sons through high school and high school sports. She could be found cheering for her sons at their football or basketball games. Once Cheryl became a grandmother, she loved treating her grandchildren to birthday festivities and parties. This brought her joy. Cheryl loved cats and dogs. She cared for these extended family members, and they provided her great affection. Two of her cherished pets were Sammy (the family dog) and Harley (her and her mother's cat).
Some of Cheryl's pastimes included going to car races or seeing a movie at the theatre. She also loved shopping!
Cheryl is survived by her two sons, Richie (Angie) Sackett, Brian (Noemi) Sackett; her son by affinity, nephew, Brent (Sabrina) Lawson; and her six grandchildren Sadina, Richie III, Kobe, Zenaida, Mariah, and Payton. She is also survived by her sisters, Polly (Jack) Lawson, JoAnne (Bill) Sill, and her brother, Doug Compton. She is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Agnes Compton.
The family will have a private interment.
