Dennis Wood Obituary
In following Dennis' wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at Brown Corners Church, 5540 S. Clare Ave., Clare, MI 48617 on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
Dennis was born on April 30, 1954, in Clare, son of Kendell and Jean (Davis) Wood. Dennis married the love of his life, Dawn Denton on November 21, 1995, at the Church of Christ in Farwell. Dennis owned and operated Dennis Wood Construction and built many homes over the years. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying his time in nature hunting and fishing and going to Wyoming. He loved watching old westerns and rooting for the Denver Broncos. He enjoyed coaching youth basketball and playing in the men's basketball league.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 29 years, Dawn Wood; children, Deana (Josh) Webb of Clare, Danielle (Joel) Bailer of Farwell, and Devin (Anna) Haring of Clare; grandchildren, Olivia Webb, Aleese Webb, Hannah Goethe, Graden Goethe, and Alaina Haring; siblings, Janice (Dick) Dahlquist, Connie (Pat) Logan, Lynn (Gary) Cotton, Doris (Rod) Henry, and Don (Brenda) Wood; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Larry Renner; and niece, Marti Dahlquist.
