Rosalie Yaksic Obituary

Rosalie Yaksic, 68, of Palm Harbor, Fla., a beloved wife and friend, sadly passed away May 4, 2025.
A hardworking, entrepreneurial and eternally curious woman, Rosalie was born in Chicago, where she grew up.
She attended college in Chicago, majoring in marketing, and began her career working at several prominent businesses including Marshall Fields, Montgomery Wards, WGCI FM & AM and others.
She then moved to the local area where she continued to work in marketing, eventually opening her own business.
Over the years Rosalie developed a lifelong passion for travel. She lived in Saugatuck for many years prior to moving to Maui, Hawaii and then Florida.
In addition to her residences, she traveled extensively domestically and abroad, celebrating different cultures wherever she went. She also loved music, nature, antiquing, reading and cooking as well as having a deep interest in current affairs.
Rosalie also had an unending love of water, whether it was being in it, on it or just around it. Boating helped bring her and her husband together, and the love they shared throughout many years together.
Rosalie is survived by her husband, Chris Wentzell, as well as a sister Renee Satterthwaite, a brother, two nieces, Raina Hough and Brie Yaksic, plus many other loving family members and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Please join us in celebrating her life on Sunday, Aug. 24, at the Glenn Community Center, 6953 114th Ave. from 4 to 6 p.m. Rosalie always loved a good party, so let us all come together to share our memories, our love for her and continue the laughter she contributed so generously to the world.

My most treasured memories of Rosalie are the camping trips Cathy and I spent with her and Chris on Maui overlooking the Pacific Ocean at Wai'anapanapa State Park. These beloved memories are forever etched in my mind. Rosalie will be greatly missed.
