Timothy Nicholson Obituary
WILLIAMSTON - Our beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend unexpectedly departed this earthly home on October 11, 2024 to walk among the angels. Scott was born in Beaufort County to Ruby Harrison Nicholson and Michael Edward Nicholson on April 23, 1984. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Bernie and Clyde Britton; paternal grandparents, Vivian and Mack Peele and Edward Nicholson; and sister-in-law, Jennifer Nicholson.
Scott leaves to cherish his beloved memory, his mother Ruby Nicholson of Williamston, NC; father, Michael Nicholson of Greenville, NC; brothers Michael (Kim) Nicholson of Farmville, NC, Larry (Karen) Harrison of Williamston, NC, John Nicholson of Robersonville, NC; and sister Anita (Toby) Stroud. Scott also leaves precious memories with his very special nephew, Maddox Moore of Tarboro, NC. Countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, who were more like family, will greatly miss Scott as well.
Scott devoted 19 years to the nursing profession. Taking care of others was his life's work and passion. In fact, Scott was in disaster-stricken western North Carolina working at a skilled inpatient rehab facility during his final days. He chose to serve this area because he felt God telling him that's where his skills were most needed. Scott took great pride in being a nurse and rightfully so. He was one of the finest nurses to grace the profession and an unrelenting patient advocate.
The family welcomed visitors at Community Christian Church in Williamston, NC on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm. A celebration of Scott's life followed at 2:00 pm at the church. Minister Joey Brickhouse of Maple Grove Church, who baptized Scott, conducted the service, assisted by Minister George Powell of Community Christian Church. To conclude, the Eastern North Carolina Nursing Guard performed a ceremony to commemorate Scott's dedication to the nursing profession. Interment and final goodbyes occured at Martin Memorial Gardens; 12813 US-64; Williamston, NC immediately following the services.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Biggs Funeral Home of Williamston, NC. At other times, the family received friends at the home of Ruby Nicholson, 1661 Bonnie Best Road; Williamston, NC.
