Barry was born on March 16, 1961, in Crosby, North Dakota, to Donald and Joann Kroshus. He spent his years in Billings, where he developed a love for motorcycles, hot rods, and anything with wheels. As a child, Barry and his brother Blaine built a bucking barrel in their backyard, and he proudly competed in junior rodeos. They used to jump on the Greyhound bus to travel to the rodeos. Summers were spent on his grandparents' farm in Alamo, North Dakota.
Barry was a devoted son, brother, and uncle, known for his kind heart, adventurous spirit, and creative soul. He had a passion for motorcycles, finding freedom on the open road, and a talent for crafts, creating beautiful pieces that reflected his warmth and care.
Barry was a talented craftsman, artistic and handy in every sense. He worked in body shops, bringing cars back to life with both skill and creativity. His passion for motorcycles and hot rods never faded; it was a true part of who he was. He worked in the Oilfields and body shops in Cutbank Montana and Williston, ND.
In 1987, Barry was involved in a motorcycle accident that left him in a wheelchair. Despite the challenges he faced, Barry's spirit remained strong. His resilience, sense of humor, and love for life inspired everyone around him.
Barry is survived by his mother, Joann; brothers, Blaine, Johnny (Christina), Chris (Lily); nieces, Ashley (Derek), Lily Ann, Lola, Catherine, and Ali; nephews, Blaine (Lacey), Reed, and Ben; and his great-nieces and nephews, Rowan, Racyn, Sylas, Blayne, and Kalliope.
He was preceded in death by his fathers, Donald Kroshus and John Stevens; brother, Keith Kroshus; his sister, Brenda Stevens; and his nephew, Weston Lapham.
There will be a celebration of life at his home at 38 Hickory Drive, Billings, MT. May 10th at 1 p.m. Everybody is welcome.
