Chad Perdue, 56, Bismarck, died May 6, 2024, at Augusta Place with his loving parents by his side. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 2 p.m. CST at Sunset Rest Cemetery in Ray, ND. Following the graveside service a gathering will be held at the Ray Auditorium.
Chad was born May 6, 1968, to Carl M. and Maureen Perdue. He was born with Down Syndrome and was loved more than anything for his entire life. He and his dad had a special bond. So much time spent together, Carl working and Chad by his side listening to his music.
He grew up in Ray, ND and loved Special Olympics. Chad attended special ed classes in Williston, ND until he was twenty-one and joined Opportunity Foundation, living in Williston for five years. A better fit for him was to move back to Ray. He had his own house, had help from Easter Seals and had his dad's company most evenings.
In 2012, Chad and his parents moved to Bismarck where he had his own apartment in his folks' lower level. His dad had retired so they had lots of meals out and lots of car rides. His TV, DVD's and CD's were his life. Then dementia set in and when he couldn't do these things without help, he lost interest. In July 2022, the dementia made it impossible for him to stay home so he moved into Augusta Place.
Chad is survived by his parents and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

May the thousands of sweet memories from years gone by sustain you and bring peace and hope as you look to the eventual day when you will be with Chad again after the resurrection. I love you and wish you the very best. I only met Chad once but he impressed me as a choice, wonderful, loving young man. He reflected your love for him and in so doing touched many peoples lives.
