Pamela Rieder

1954 - 2025

Former Williston, ND resident Pamela Renee Rieder (70) passed away on November 4th, 2025 in Naples, Florida. She was born in Williston on December 1st, 1954 to Robert (Bud) and Harriett (Anderson) Rieder and was raised and educated in Williston where she was active in 4H and developed her life-long love of animals. As a manager at Fireside Hearth in Minnesota and a sales professional at Von Maur in Nebraska and her other stops in life, Pam's greatest gift was engaging with people. She was a bright, gentle and caring soul which endeared her to everyone she met. Pam spent the last 20 years with the love of her life Dick Shelley and they married on Valentine's Day in 2023. She loved traveling, cooking and was a generous supporter of the Humane Society. Preceded by her parents and sister Laurie, she is survived by her husband Dick and his son Duane (Chris) Shelley (Somerset WI), sisters Bobbi Arnt (Seward NE), Connie Lambert (El Mirage, AZ), Linda (Bob) Erdahl, Payson AZ, Cheryle Pike (Goodyear, AZ), Lois (Rick) Salyers (Stoutsville, OH), Melissa Hardlannert (Hobart, IN), brother Brian Rieder (Williston), aunt Beverly Kulseth (Williston) and numerous nieces and nephews.
