Derek Sweeney Obituary
He is survived by his father, Hugh Robert Sweeney, and wife of Laytonville; and his mother, Frankie Sweeney Henderson of Kingsport; brother Jeff Sweeney and friend Janie of Johnson City; uncle Mike Sweeney of Nevada; grandmother Marie Jones and uncle Larry Wright, both of Kingsport; aunts and uncles Shirley and Stanly Jones of Fall Branch, Bill and Cathie Stilner of Springfield, Virginia, Brenda Groves of Virginia, and Evelyn Silveria of California; and by many great-aunts and great-uncles in Kingsport.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers Ed Wright and Dana Jones, and grandparents Clarence and Jan Rath.
Derek had a great friend, Anitta Edwards of Willits. She was like a second mother to him. I know she will miss him and always love Derek. I am grateful for all she did for my son.
Derek will always be loved and missed by all who knew and loved him.
