James Wagner Obituary

James F. Wagner, 63, of Winchester, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at St. Vincent Randolph Hospital, Winchester.
He was born March 30, 1949 in Winchester to Elmer H. and Lucile (North) Wagner. James was a 1967 graduate of the Driver High School. He was a farmer for 51 years and owned and operated a small engine shop for 48 years. He was a member of the Country Side Card Club for 32 years.
He enjoyed his family, helping neighbors, lawnmower customers and taking care of his cattle. In general, being outside and working made him the happiest.
Survivors include his wife of 39 ½ years, Kathy L. (Johnting) Wagner of Winchester; his mother, Lucile (North) Wagner of Winchester; a son, Gary (Lisa) Wagner of Covington, Wash.; a daughter, Mindy (Anthony) Harms of Knob Noster, Mo.; a sister, Anita Wagner of Farmland; a brother, Jack L. Wagner of Winchester; a grandson, Matthew James Wagner; a nephew Kip Wagner of Winchester; a niece, Heather Young of Noblesville; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer H. Wagner.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Walker Funeral Home, Winchester, with Steve Conner officiating. Burial will follow at Fountain Park Cemetery, Winchester.
Friends and family may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home. Online condolences can be expressed at www.walkerswinchester.com.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to The Salvation Army, 124 E. Washington St, Winchester IN, 47394; Winchester Angel Tree, 124 E. Washington St., Winchester IN, 47394; or The American Red Cross, 441 E. 10th St, Indianapolis, IN 46202.
The family expresses special thanks to the Lynn First Responders and the Winchester Emergency Medical Technicians.
