Margaret Ellen Perkins

Margaret Ellen Perkins, 97 passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, at Heritage in Union City, IN. Margaret was born April 12, 1928, to the late Earl Eugene and Ruth Naomi (Thomas) Dunn.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Ruth Dunn, stepmother Hester Dunn, sister and brother-in-law Maurice and Dorothy Horine, stepsister and brother-in-law Rick and Kathy Roy, and her eldest son Larry Stump.
Margaret left behind one son Bobby Stump and his wife Erma, their children Brian (Mende) Timmerman, Rob (Christy) Timmerman, Ron (Jodie) Malloy, Lee (Heather) Stammen, daughter in law Cheryl Stump, and her children Jeremy (Shellie) Stump, Justin (Pam) Stump, Andrew (Lanelle) Stump, 19 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
She was a 1946 graduate of West Side High School in Union City, Indiana. Following high school, she worked for many years at Union Trust Bank in Union City.
She married Robert G. Stump on August 25, 1950, and moved from town to the farm. There she raised her two boys and helped with turkeys and other farm chores.
On June 27, 1981, she married her second husband Paul Perkins. They enjoyed five happy years before he passed in July of 1986.
Margaret loved music and dancing, but above all she loved her family and talking about her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed collecting dolls, and anything Mickey Mouse. She loved telling everyone she was the same age as Mickey as he turned "97" on November 18th of this year! Margaret was a long-time member of the VFW, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Eagles. She enjoyed her last eight years at "Heritage" in Union City where she had nothing but praise for the facility and staff.
There will be a public viewing from 12 noon to 2:00 pm on November 26, 2025, at Reichard Funeral Home 400 W. Deerfield Road Union City, IN followed by a private service for immediate family only.
