Marilu Ann "Lu" Clevenger

1935 - 2025

Marilu "Lu" Ann Clevenger, 90, went into the arms of Jesus in Heaven Thursday, October 30, 2025. She was born July 30, 1935, the second of six children born to Raymond and Iris Sharp. She attended Huntsville School and was the first class to graduate from Union School Corp. in 1953.
As an attentive farmer's wife to Gordon for 46 years, together they raised three daughters on their farm. She helped milk cows, raise pigs, gardened and helped at their elevator, Trimble Grain. Marilu was an active member of the Losantville Methodist Church, where she attended for many years. She was known for her pie baking at the former Blue Moon Restaurant. She also loved sewing.
In addition to her parents, Marilu was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Clevenger; grandson, Ethan Cheesman; son-in-law, Mark Collis; siblings and in-laws, Martha Belle and Bud Williams, Carl and Jean Sharp, Tom Sharp, Doug Sharp, Bill Hartley, Don and Betty Clevenger, Max and Jean Clevenger, Pauline and Rex Cates, Keith and Barbara Clevenger, and Jim Clevenger.
She is survived by daughters, Debbie Martin, Paula (Greg) Cheesman, Becky Collis; sister, Janie Hartley; sisters-in-law, Linda Sharp and Jean Ann Clevenger. Marilu also leaves behind grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, Jim (Tiffany) Martin, Lee Martin, Bridgette (Andrew) Danhauer, Hillary Cheesman, Zachary Cheesman, Dani (Marcos) Vasquez, Kayla Martin, Emily Martin, Vivian Martin, Mariana Vasquez and newly awaiting little Vasquez. Also leaving behind, dear to Marilu, are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends, which were a meaningful part of her life.
Visitation will be 12 Noon to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 4, at Culberson Funeral Home, Hagerstown. Services will follow at 2 PM. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Losantville.
