Allen, you will sadley be missed by your family and friends. you was a special person. i remember us growing up in the camp , frist time jumping off big rock swimming,you jumped with me.thats been yrs. ago.but we all was one big happy family there in the camp as kids.we love you then and will always love you forever. rest in peace allen. Allen was my husbands cousin and he was also both of our co-worker for several years at Island Creek Coal Co. He was a pleasant person to be around and to work with. our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and children. Rest in peace Allen.

Allen was one of the first ones I got to really work with and he was so full of life. He made me laugh,he always knew what to say at the right time.I'am so glad I got to see him when I did.He will be missed very much.

My life was truely enriched just by knowing Allen. I worked with him for many, many years @ ESC in troutman,nc were he took me under his wing and showed me alot..even after he stopped working there he kept in touch with many of us and our plant is truely saddened by his passing. May God Bless all who knew him, and loved him and may God give each of us the strength to know that Allen will always be with us, watching over our every move...tell everyone that is a special person in your life, how much you care about them everyday, and remember hugs are free, give as many as you can. We are shocked and sadden to hear of Allen's passing. We were looking at some of our picture albums last week and found some pictures of our get togethers years ago and saw one of Allen. We were wondering where he moved to and how he was doing. We really liked Allen, he was always friendly, jolly, and smiling. Our prayers are with you and all his family. We know God will give you the strength you will need during this difficult time. We pray that you will find comfort in the good memories you have of him.
