Anna Goad Parsons

PARSONS CLEMMONS - Mrs. Anna Goad Parsons, 75, of Clemmons went home to be with her Lord on Friday, Aug. 31, 2007. She was born Oct. 26, 1931, in Logan County, W.Va., to Cecil and Erie Watts Goad. Mrs. Parsons was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and retired from Indiana Bell with 26 years of loyal service. She enjoyed shopping and was the "master." She loved her family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Parsons. Surviving her are two daughters, Deborah Ann Hays and husband Steve of Wilsonville, Ore., and Rhonda Leigh Mason and husband Mark of Clemmons; two stepsons, Tom Parsons and wife Michelle of Seattle, Wash., and Stewart and wife Soozie Bul of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren, Andrea Mason Wind and husband Joel, Mark Andrew Mason and wife Amy and Ray Bristow and wife Nikia; two stepgrandchildren, Wiley and Avery Bul; three great-grandchildren, Sydney Marie Mason, Emily Mason and Savannah Wind; and a brother, Bill Goad, and wife Barbara of Huntington, W.Va. A private celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 2. A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Beech Grove Cemetery in Muncie, Ind. Memorials may be made to the Jim "Catfish" Hunter Foundation, 120-101 Penmare Drive, Raleigh, NC 27603, or Hospice and Palliative CareCenter, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
