Archie Alexander Obituary
July 20, 1947 - June 1, 2023
Mr. Archie Reece Alexander, 75, of Pfafftown, N.C. passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born July 20, 1947 in Forsyth County where he spent most of his life. Archie was an avid musician who loved picking his guitar while singing and playing bluegrass music. He retired from Stroh's Brewery after many years of service.
Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his parents, Corum Daniel Alexander and Edna Reece Alexander; a brother, Daniel K. Alexander (Linda) and a sister, Dawn Luanne Wilmoth (Roger). Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Wanda Joyner Alexander; two children, Glen E. Alexander (fiancé Sharon Fogarty) of Charlotte, N.C. and J.D. Alexander (Jennifer) of Lewisville, N.C.; four grandchildren, Jenna Kathryn Alexander, Patrick Reece Alexander, Wren Welsh Alexander and Ayla Grace Alexander.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Rev. John E. Hackworth, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
