Barry Gray Obituary

GRAY LEXINGTON - Barry Dale Gray, 62, of Ridge Road, Lexington passed away Friday night February 5, 2010 of pancreatic cancer. A Graveside Service with Military Rites by Clemmons Honor Guard will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Westlawn Cemetery conducted by Pastor Sue Gamelin. Mr. Gray was born March 8, 1947 in Surry County to Baxter Gray and Frances Johnson Gray. He earned a BS degree from East Carolina University and his hobby was raising Black Angus Cattle. He owned Atwork Personnel Services for ten years and was currently employed with Lowes Home Improvement. Barry honorably served his country in the Army in Vietnam. Surviving are his wife, Becca Crane Gray of the home; and three daughters: Ranie Gray of Lexington, Heather Cagle and husband, Ken of High Point and Jessica Gray of Wilmington. His mother, Frances Johnson Gray of Clemmons; and sister, Louise Byerly and husband, Don of Clemmons; and a niece, Kimberly Byerly of Clemmons also survive. His father preceded him in death. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home Tuesday night from 6-8 p.m. and at other times at the home. The family would appreciate flowers as well as memorials to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, www.pancan.org. Online condolences may be made to www.davidson funeralhome.net.
