It wasn't summer until you got a new pair of "KEDS" at John D'S - either red, white or blue - those truly were the good old days - I got to talk with her last year at Willowbrook - Blanche's passing is an end of an ERA - she was also so nice - with a dry sense of humor.

I recall as a young girl going shopping at John D. Holcomb & Son for shoes. Both Blanche and John D. were the sweetest people! They always asked how we were and made us feel important - not just as customer but they showed they genuinely cared. Blanche was a special, special lady. I am so sorry for your loss.
