"Bobby Wayne" Ketner, 69, of Winston-Salem, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (Atrium). Mr. Ketner was born April 22, 1956, in Forsyth County, to Bobby Eugene Ketner and Naomi Ruth Dalton Ketner. He retired from Old Dominion Freight Lines after many years of service. Bobby Wayne loved attending the Renaissance Festival and was a member of the Forsyth Gem and Mineral Club and the Forsyth Astronomical Society. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christine "Chris" Rice Ketner. Left to cherish his memory are his father; two sisters, Pam Weikle, and Angela Warden (Johnny); one sister in-law, Corina Rice Clay; the Connelly family; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 2 pm Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller, Silas Creek Chapel. Burial will take place at a later date at Everman Family Cemetery in Grayson, Kentucky. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
