Brenda Sales Obituary
April 25, 1949 - March 10, 2026
Reverend Brenda G. Sales entered the presence of her Savior on the morning of March 10, 2026 at the age of 76. She was born in this city on April 25, 1949, to Hayward and Anna Sales who have preceded her in death along with a grandson Lewun McKoy. She received her early education in the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School System and graduated from Atkins High School with the Class of 1967. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion and Philosophy from Shaw University in Raleigh, NC, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Rev. Sales was a devoted member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church since 1954 and faithfully served in numerous ministries.Those who knew Brenda well, knew she had a sense of humor and loved making people laugh! She leaves behind her most cherished possessions from God, her children, Meladie Sharie Mitchell, Lynwood B. Austin Jr. and Kimberly Austin (Anthony) Williams of Charlotte, NC including their children and her grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as a sister and brothers and a host of other family members and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday March 14, 2026 at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 11 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday at the church. Her remains may be viewed Friday March 13, 2026 from 12 to 5 p.m., at Hooper Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to www.hooperfuneralhome.net.
