Dear Cynthia: Please accept my deepest sympathy. While I have had very little contact with Charlie since I left Winston Salem over 50 years ago, I have many good memories of our times together at Hanes High School. He had many good friends there and I was fortunate to be among them. No group was complete without Pickles. He was a good guy, always kind and gracious, with a great sense of humor. May God bless and comfort you and your family during this difficult time.
Sincerely, Arlis Denny, Jupiter, Fl.

I will miss my dear "brother" pickles. We were best of friends for many years in the neighborhood, schools and church. Very fond memories of many "band" trips as well as other times. You are in a grand place now and free to do everything your heart desires with a brand new body. Make a place for me and I'll see you in about 50 years. Cynthia my love goes out to you and hope to see you at church soon. Love always !!!

Cynthia, I was so saddened to learn of Charles' death. He was one of my earliest childhood friends, living across the street from each other at the age of one & two. My deepest and sincerest sympathy to you and your family.

We sure are going to miss Pick. We lived next door to him from the time I was int the 6th grade until I was 30 something. He was a terrific person always coming over to say Hi. He was like a Dad that lived next door. He is up in heaven with his dog Molly. We are praying for you all. May you be comforted through God and all your happy thoughts of him. Love to all Mary
