Dear Chris,
You came to mind today, as you so often do. We were all so proud to have a doctor in the family, and when we reminded you of that you'd shyly grin and not say a word. You knew how much your family loved you and those few of us still left here on earth, still do. But you are safe in the arms of God and all who love you so very much, whom I miss with all my heart so very much. I will continue to brag on you, how very proud we all were of your accomplishments, the lives you saved and all those you helped.
I'll see you at the gates with your beautiful mom, brother, aunts, grandmother, your great-uncle (my Dad).... Our family. xo

I just found out about Dr. Philippart's passing and am truly stunned. His comforting demeanor carried my father through years of treatments for his prostate cancer. I echo the sentiments of those who have posted already. He epitomized what a doctor is meant to be. My deepest condolences to his surviving family, friends and work mates.

To Dr. Philippart's family,
I want to thank you for the sacifice and time your husband and father spent away from you while helping others in need. Words cannot express his kindness, expertise, and devotion to his profession. He was one of God's angels sent to do his will...when Chris was finished doing God's will on earth...he was called home to be with God. He was an awesome doctor and knew just what to say to make your day all better. He helped to encourage others to keep his/her faith in God as we all went through our cancer treatment. I went through vocal cord cancer and Chris assured me that I got the best cancer I could have gotten if I had to get it. He told me he was 99% sure it would be gone in a matter of weeks...and he was correct. It was gone before my treatment was over. I thank God for Chris Philippart being a part of my life. He thought it was funny when I first met him and told him that I thought his name was Chris Phillip "Heart." Wow! If I only knew that it wasn't his name but his character!!! You could only LOVE such a wonderful man of God! God Bless you, Mrs. Philippart and your two girls that you will one day celebrate your angel...Dr. Chris Philippart!!! He was loved by all his patients and he will be missed.

My brother. I miss u so much. I miss u and mom. I am so alone. I wish u were here. I want everyone to know he was not only an excellent doctor. His nickname was "Quackie". He was an excellent brother. He watched out for his little sister. I can't tell you how hard it is to lose your whole family in a month. My moms nickname for Chris was "Kitty". I cry at least once a day. I try to not think about any sad but, think about how we goofed off together and had our secret chats. But, the sad is still there. I love you both with all my heart and soul. I will write again soon.
All my love

Reading notes of those who did know him is a testament that he was a gifted physician and an honorable man. My condolences are extended to the family.

Dear Mrs. Philippart and children,
I, too, was one of the many breast cancer patients who was treated by your husband. I'm a six year breast cancer survivor and owe that in part to the treatment I received at his facility. He was a kind and compassionate man. The first time I met him I had just found out that I had breast cancer and was terrified of what was to come. He came into the exam room and greeted me and my husband with his wonderful smile and then, he looked at me, threw open his arms, and said, "Give me a hug," which was quite unorthodox behaviour for a doctor. He was unlike any doctor that I have had dealings with in my lifetime. But, that greeting, hug, smile and the reassurance and optimism he gave me that day made all the difference in my recovery. He gave me the hope and optimism that I could beat this thing and win! I know you will sorely miss him and we, his patients, who knew and came to love him will, too. He was a great doctor, caring and kind and much loved. May God bless each of you with peace as you go through these very difficult times. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I was one of Dr. Philippart patients. I only met him once last July for a consult to start my external radiation treatments for prostate cancer. I never met him again but he made a lasting impression on myself and my wife. He was a kind, and caring doctor, who took the time to expain so much to us about my treatment. I only found out after I had started my treatment in November that Dr. Phillipart was on medical leave due to illness. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this time.
