Clara Hauser Obituary
October 31, 1940 - November 21, 2021
Ms. Clara Jean McClinton Hauser was born October 31, 1940 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to the late Clatis and Aria Alford McClinton, Sr. She was a 1959 graduate of Atkins High School and matriculated to Winston-Salem Teachers College (now WSSU). Ms. Hauser continued her education at NC A&T State University receiving her Master's Degree in Education. Children were her passion and she loved to teach and nurture their growth. She taught for over 30 years retiring from Ridgeway Elementary School, Ridgeway, VA. Spiritually she was a devout and lifelong member of Union Chapel Baptist Church where she served in the Sunday School Department, Greeters Ministry, and Christmas Savings group for the church. In addition to her parents, Ms. Clara was preceded in death by a sister, Ella Hallums. She departed this life Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. She leaves precious memories to her daughter, Sonya Hauser; one grandson Jordan Hauser; two brothers, Clatis McClinton, Jr. and James McClinton; a special niece, Carolyn Hallums; nephew, Kenneth Smith; and a host of other relatives and dear friends. The family will receive friends 10:30am-11:00am Tuesday, November 30, 2021 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home with funeral services following at 11:00am. Her remains may be viewed Monday, November 29, 2021 from 12pm-6pm at the funeral home. www.hooperfuneralhome.net.
