Daniel Lineberry Obituary

Daniel Lineberry went to be with his Lord and Savior the 21st of March, 2025. He was born to the late Monroe and Edith Hinshaw Lineberry on the 23rd of March, 1939. Daniel enjoyed spending time on the golf course and heading to the coast to surf fish. He also answered the call of his country in 1962 and served in the United States Army and served at Fort Jackson, Fort Sill, and Fort Bliss. Daniel was a member of New Home Methodist Church of East Bend, and attended Main Street United Methodist Church of Kernersville. In addition to his parents, Daniel is preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Graham Reece, and Tom Summers. He is Survived by his loving wife, Sue Reece Lineberry; children, Devin (Jodi) Lineberry, Mitch (Meia) Lineberry; grandchildren, Lindsey Lineberry, Haili Lineberry, Heather (Noah) Smith, Logan Lineberry; great grandchild, Kynsley Williams; sister, Beth (Ernie) Holcomb; sisters-in-law, Robin Summers, Elaine Reece; brothers, Phil (Brenda) Lineberry, Steve (Gale) Lineberry; brothers-in-law, John (Dinah) Reece; and many numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Mt. Valley Hospice, especially Shana, and the staff of Woltz Hospice of Dobson for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to Mt. Valley Hospice Care. The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, March 25th from 10 to 11 a.m. at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville and a service will be held following the visitation in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place following the service at New Home Methodist Church.

Dan was my supervisor at Hunter Publishing in the mid 80's when I was hardly an adult, my first full time job. I was habitually late to work, but very good at my job. Dan would call me into his office, give me a stern talking to, then shake his head and grin. He was awesome, and obviously I never forgot him. Rest in peace, Dan.
