Dawn Dalton Obituary

DALTON STOKESDALE ~ Dawn Fulp Dalton Sept. 14, 1936 ~ May 13, 2011 Mrs. Dawn Fulp Dalton, 74, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2011, at Moses Cone Hospital. Mrs. Dalton's Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 16, at Stokesdale Christian Church, with Rev. the Tom Bierovic officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. A Guilford County native, Dawn was born on September 14, 1936, the daughter of the late Olen Russell and Lucy Corum Fulp. Following her high school graduation, Dawn attended nursing school at City Memorial Hospital (now Forsyth Memorial) and for over 25 years worked as a nurse in Dr. Herman Parker's office in Greensboro. Following retirement she worked part-time in the Oak Ridge United Methodist Weekday School. She was a long-time and active member of Stokesdale Christian Church, regularly attending Sunday School, Bible study, and worship services. Surviving are her daughter, Bobbi Dalton of Stokesdale; sister, JoAnn Foster of Elkin; brother, Bernard Fulp of Stokesdale; a special cousin, Bruce Neal of Stokesdale; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends this afternoon, Sunday, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Forbis & Dick Brooke Chapel, and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to the Stokesdale Christian Church, 8607 Stokesdale Street, Stokesdale, NC 27357.

Bobbi just returned from being out of Town for several days and sad to learn that your Mom had passed away. There will be tough days ahead and my heart goes out to you but I know you can do it. Take just one day and one step at a time. Blessings.......
