Dennis Wayne Willard, 67, of the Midway Community passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at his home. He was born on July 30, 1955 in Forsyth County to Betty Lou Smith Willard and the late Bobby Dalton Willard. Dennis worked with Collins Aerospace for 49 years and a volunteer with Gumtree Fire Department for 30 years. He loved working with horses and watching Nascar races and Atlanta Braves baseball games. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Boose and grandmothers, Ada Willard and Hazel Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Lambeth Willard of the home; son, Randall Wayne Willard of Midway; two daughters, Jeanne Johnston and husband Richard, and Angela Kaye Willard both of Midway; six grandchildren, Kayla Payne (Vance), Dalton Johnston (Krislyn), Jacob Johnston, Cameron Johnston, Cole Johnston, and Abby Day; and six great-grandchildren, Jaxon Payne, Oakleigh Payne, Camden Payne, Kenleigh Payne, Anastasia Larue, and Grayson Johnston.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at J.C. Green and Sons Wallburg Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Bethlehem Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, 10301 N. NC Hwy 109, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
