Donald Lumley Obituary

LUMLEY WINSTON-SALEM - Donald Ray Lumley, 58, passed away unexpectedly on December 28, 2010. He is survived by his mother Myrtle Branch Lumley, of the home; former wife and dear friend, Shirley Lumley; son, Bobby Scot Lumley and daughter Cammy Renee Woollen; three grandsons, Brandon, Jacob and Robert; two granddaughters, Bria and Brianna; and two sisters, Lou Brown (Tommy) and Elizabeth Baugess all of Winston-Salem. Mr. Lumley has donated his remains to WFU School of Medicine and a memorial service will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Winston-Salem. When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom-filled room. Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not too long and not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared. Miss me but let me go. For this journey that we all must take and each must go alone. It's all a part of the Master's plan, a step on the road to home. When we are lonely and sick at heart, go to the friends we know and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds. Miss me but let me go. Frank Vogler and Son's is assisting Mr. Lumley's family.
