Edward Dyer Obituary
July 15, 1938 - December 31, 2025
Mr. Edward Grant Dyer, age 87, of Millers Creek passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Wilkes Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, January 5, 2026, at Welcome Home Baptist Church with Rev. Jamie McGuire officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., prior to the service at the church. Burial with Military Honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 Honor Guard and the North Carolina National Guard Honor Guard in the church cemetery.
Edward was born on July 15, 1938, to Johnny Coiet and Eva Phillips Dyer. He was also a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from ECMD after twenty years of service. He was also a proud member of Welcome Home Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Annie Ruth Dyer and brother-in-law, Jerry Spears.
He is survived by his daughters, Lesa Bilodeau (Kevin) of North Wilkesboro, Sandy Bell (Ray Madden) of Millers Creek; son, Michael Dyer of Millers Creek; grandchildren, Michael A. Dyer, Joshua Bilodeau, Katie (Jody) Royal, Dylan (Caroline) Bilodeau, Noah Bilodeau, Charlotte Dyer; great-grandchildren, Jediah Royal, Hagen Royal, Penelope Bilodeau, Benjamin Bilodeau; sister, Linda Spears of Wilkesboro; brother, Allen Dyer (Audrey) of Wilkesboro; and special family friends, Pattie and Mike Bumgarner, and Maria Greene.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Welcome Home Baptist Church, 132 Welcome Home Church Rd., North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.
