Edwin Harrison Obituary

Edwin (Ed) Thomas Harrison, 71, of Winston-Salem passed away peacefully October 2, 2021 at Novant Forsyth Hospital. He was born August 16, 1950 in Henderson, NC to the late Robert and Ethel Harrison.
Ed was a graduate of UNC-CH in Business Administration and Duke University in Health Administration. He was a Management Consultant for physicians in Winston-Salem for 25 years and taught in the Yadkin County School System after retirement.
In 2000, Ed and his wife, Rose Marie Harrison, moved to Emerald Isle, NC where they enjoyed walks on the beach, collecting sea shells, hosting family reunions, and visits from friends. He especially cherished visits from his sons and grandsons. In January 2021, Ed and Rose Marie relocated to Winston-Salem to be closer to family. Ed was an avid Tar Heel fan and animal lover. He had a contagious laugh and was generous with his love and support for family and friends.
Ed is survived by his wife of 48 years; sons Palmer (Stephanie) and grandsons Nicholas and Jordan; Justin (Stephanie) and grandson Landon; sister Barbara Wolfe (John); and brothers Jim Harrison and Robert Harrison (Wendy).
The family expresses gratitude to the Coronary Critical Care Unit for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to apet or animal rescue organization or charity of choice
A celebration of life for Edwin will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Frank Vogler & Sons in Clemmons. A gathering of family & friends to follow service will occur.

Rose Marie, I am so sorry. Ed was a joy to know and a thorough and accurate accountant. I had lost track of you when you moved to the coast but I did have good memories of meeting with Ed at tax time. I wish you comfort at this difficult time.
