Eleanor "Mickey" McCown Robideau, 85 of Lewisville, NC passed away peacefully on Monday, December 22, 2025, surrounded by her family. Mickey was born on December 12, 1940, in Staunton, VA. She was the daughter of the late Eleanor McCown. She graduated from Mary Baldwin University in Staunton, VA.
Mickey was a devoted and loving wife to Philip Robideau for 61 years. In addition to Phil, she is survived by three daughters, Susie Cardwell (Brent), Elizabeth Lowder, Cindy Mussomeli (John); grandchildren, Blake (Melynn) Ellis, Ben Ellis, Kayla Cardwell Newsome (Chase), Evan Cardwell, Shelby Lowder, Jordan Mussomeli, Jonah Mussomeli; great-granddaughter, Rylie Ellis, and sister in-laws Sarah (Robert) Seymour and Norma Race.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Clemmons. Mickey's kindness, laughter and smile touched everyone around her. Her unconditional love and support will always be remembered. While Mickey held various jobs throughout the years, the title of Nana was her ultimate and most fulfilling role. Mickey was the heart and soul of our family and will be deeply missed.
A celebration of Mickey's life will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Winmock at Kinderton, Bermuda Run, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Clemmons Food Pantry.
