Frederick E. Case, 88, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away peacefully on the morning of January 16, 2025, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC.
Born on May 23, 1936, in Watertown, NY, Frederick was the son of the late William and Flossie Bailey Case. He attended Watertown High School before enlisting in the United States Air Force in 1956. He served honorably and was discharged as an Airman 2nd Class in 1958.
On July 31, 1958, Frederick married Lena Norton at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Watertown, NY. Their union lasted 59 years until Lena's passing on March 28, 2018. Together, they built a life filled with love and cherished memories.
Frederick worked as a bus driver for Freeman Bus Co. in Watertown and also spent time employed at Fort Drum. In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and refinishing furniture, hobbies that brought him great joy and fulfillment.
He is survived by his five children, three sons, Matthew J. Case of Penn Yan, NY, Mark W. Case, and Eric S. Case (Donna), both of Winston-Salem, NC; and two daughters, Cindy Martin (Jeffrey) of Winston-Salem, NC, and Tina LaMarche (Robert II) of Dexter, NY. He also leaves behind three granddaughters, three great-grandsons, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who will remember him fondly.
A graveside service will be held later this year at Sanford Corners Cemetery in Calcium, NY. Arrangements are entrusted to Frederick Bros. Funeral Home in Theresa, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Care at 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Online condolences may be shared at www.frederickbrosfuneralhome.com.

Also a New Yorker, I met Fred through a club we both were members of shortly after I ended up in WS. He would regale me with too-wild-not-to-be-true tales of his Air Force and bus driving days. I proudly wear the very last Woolrich coat produced in upstate NY, a gift from Fred. I shall always love and remember this kind soul with his easy smile and ready laugh. What a gift he was!
