Mr. Gene Kelly Stewart, 68, formerly of Wallburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. He was born on July 19, 1951 in Forsyth County to the late Luther and Pauline Jordan Stewart. Gene was a welder by trade and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his sons, Mikey Stewart (Misty) of Biscoe, NC, and Lindsay Stewart of Archdale; daughter, Shannon Stewart of Oak Island, NC; brother, Gary Stewart of Columbus, MS; sister, Yvonne Beck of Winston-Salem; former wife, Rennie Stewart of High Point; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service with full military honors will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 9, 2021 at the J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home chapel in Wallburg. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 10:00 am at the funeral home, 10301 N. NC Hwy 109, Winston-Salem, NC. A private inurnment will follow the service at the Salisbury National Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to www.jcgreenandsons.com.
