Gerald Whitlock Obituary

Gerald Lee Whitlock, a proud veteran, devoted family man, and esteemed community servant, passed away on October 18, 2025, at the age of 80.

Born on July 9, 1945, in Lexington, North Carolina, Gerald dedicated his early life to service. He bravely served his country in the United States Air Force. Gerald was a member and Past Master at Old Town Lodge #751. He was also a member of Winter Garden Lodge #165. He was the beloved husband of Wanda McLeod Whitlock for 56 wonderful years and a loving father to Christie (Rudy) and Michael (Kristie). Gerald found his greatest joy in his family, especially his cherished grandchildren: Kaylin and Abbey (Christie), and Peyton and Pierce (Michael).

He is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren, as well as other extended family. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, James Whitlock Jr. and Arteal Black Whitlock, and his brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Marie Whitlock.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The American Heart Association.
